India's third Energy Forum

The third India Energy Forum by CERAWeek  was held in New Delhi from 13-15 October 2019. At the forum the Union Minister of Natural Gas, Petroleum & Steal Dharmendra Pradhan called for inclusion of petroleum products under GST regime and urged Union finance minister to at least begin by including natural gas and ATF (Aviation Turbine Fuel) in GST.

Hundred of delegates from India as well as regional energy companies, institutions, and government and also a number of international speaker gathered at 3rd India Energy Forum by CERAWeek under the patronage Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Steel and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Topic to explored included by Forum

Sustainable energy products and low carbon solutions for India. Upgradation in technology. Investment in Global Oil and Gas markets. To understand new Government Policies and response from Public and Private sectors. The Fund for light, heat and mobility.

Government Plans for Economic Development

It is expected that $58 billion investment will be made by India for expanding production sector by year 2023 and estimate investment of $60 billion underway for augmenting gas infrastructure. On the top Priority list, of Government there is energy sector it aims to do everything it required to meet renewable targets. Government is also planning to achieve 10% blending percentage of Ethanol in petrol by the year 2022, which can be turn into boost farm economy.
